Advance directives rare in CHF patients

This population based study found only 41% of patients with CHF had advanced directives, less than half of which addressed wishes for CPR, intubation, or dialysis. All admitted patients should be assessed for advanced directives, although ideally these would be completed when the patient is not acutely ill (abstract)
