Hyperglycemia with higher mortality in pneumonia

In this large prospective cohort of patients with community acquired pneumonia without diabetes, elevated glucose on admission was independently associated with higher mortality at 28 and 90 days. Hyperglycemia in non-diabetics with community acquired pneumonia can add to current models in predicting the risk of mortality (abstract)
