IM as good as IV benzos in status epilepticus

In this large trial of patients being transported by EMS for seizures, the use of IM midazolam ceased seizures as well as IV lorazepam (73% vs 63% ceased by the time they arrived to the ED, respectively), with no difference in adverse event rates. IM benzodiazepines are as safe and effective as IV in patients with status epilepticus (abstract)
